You will likely remember the obnoxious legislation that Liberals and Conservatives passed in December which gave themselves a 25% pay increase. One of the provisions of that legislation is that MPPs now get another increase in salary every time that MPs give themselves a raise. Which explains the surreptitious additional 2% raise that MPPs have just received, their 2nd pay hike in 4 months.
