Public Internet Access

by

According to the federal government’s website “Industry Canada’s Community Access Program (CAP) gives thousands of Canadians affordable access to the Internet in places like schools, community centres and libraries. It provides access to those people who might not have computers or Internet access in their homes or workplaces.”

Strange that there’s no mention on the program’s site that it’s being axed by the Harper government, no mention on the Industry Canada “What’s New” page, but that is what was reported on this evening’s A-Channel newscast.

According to the list of Ontario sites, there are 38 organizations in London that will be affected by this program cancellation.
