Painting Your Own Solar Panels


In the past, expensive, large-scale infrastructures such as dams were necessary to drive renewable energy sources, such as wind or hydroelectric power plants.

A major component of future global energy strategy will involve the use of solar cells to harvest energy directly from abundant solar radiation. But the core material for fabricating conventional solar cells is purified silicon (also used for making computer chips), which puts them beyond the reach of most consumers.
