W3 Review – Lower Footprint

Here’s a recent pleasant discovery… Mateo is a fellow on Canada’s east coast who’s blogging about the experience of trying to reduce his ecological footprint this year.

One of the things that I most like about the direction that Mateo has set for himself is the early admission that he plans “to make incremental, sustainable changes, not changes that will be like fads or diets, here today and gone tomorrow.” Which is a pretty healthy way to go about it, I think.

Have you ever wished that you could meter individual appliances so that you knew exactly how much they were costing you to operate? Even when they’re ‘off’? THIS POST describes how Nova Scotians can get meters from their library to do just that.

I have one reservation about THIS POST though. Do you really have to freeze yer buns to be considered eco-friendly?
